I tried placing an order and the checkout kept acting weird, which got frustrating. I was ready to give up, though maybe it was just a glitch that day. Still, I’m not sure I’d rush to order from there again.

I finally got my order, so that was nice, I guess. Shipping took way longer than expected, and the tracking was pretty much useless the whole time. It kept giving updates that didn’t really mean anything, which was super helpful if you enjoy guessing where your package is.

Wheelbuilder.com definitely gives you a ton of ways to customize your setup, which is awesome if you already know what you’re after. Being able to choose the hubs, spokes, rims, and all the little details was really nice, who doesn’t like getting things dialed in exactly how they want?
That said, it can feel like a lot if you’re not already familiar with wheel builds. I had to stop and double-check a few things because, how are you supposed to know every tiny compatibility detail off the top of your head? Overall, it’s a solid site with great options, just not the easiest one to navigate for a less experienced buyer.

The wheels showed up looking really solid and true. I’ll admit I was kind of suspicious at first because they took a bit longer than I expected, but after a few rough rides they’ve stayed straight and the spoke tension still feels even. No real complaints honestly, the build quality seems legit.
